DE AK(AL)I A ALLÁ

DESIGN WITH CODE
STORY TELLING
Based on research into the water problem in Mexico City, with
a special focus on the piping processes of rivers and bodies
of water, a proposal was developed to rethink the city's
relationship with its water environment.

Inspired by traditional chinampa systems, what was proposed was an
alternative that recovers ancestral practices of coexistence with
water, adapting them to the contemporary urban context. The proposal
narrates a journey from the south to the west of Mexico City,
showing the challenges, lessons learned, and dynamics of inhabiting
an aquatic territory, as well as the possibilities for ecological
and social resilience.
